KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim has announced that he will personally determine the appointment of a new Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
In a statement issued to the Royal Press Office (RPO) today, His Majesty stressed that there is no need for any party to politicise the matter.
The King underscored the significance of the role, noting that the position is crucial in ensuring the MACC continues to function effectively as the nation’s primary institution in combating corruption, abuse of power, and misconduct.
“I will determine the best candidate to lead the MACC moving forward,” His Majesty said on a Facebook posting.
