BANGKOK: TV AlHijrah Chief Executive Officer Namanzee Harris has been named Asia’s Visionary CEO of the Year 2026 in the Media & Broadcasting Industry category at the Global Excellence & Leadership Awards 2026, held in Bangkok.
The recognition celebrates Namanzee’s professional achievements, leadership excellence and contributions to the media and broadcasting industry.

According to the organiser’s official statement, the award acknowledges his professional journey and role in driving excellence and creating a meaningful impact within the industry. The Global Excellence & Leadership Awards recognises leaders who demonstrate dedication and commitment to advancing their respective sectors.

Namanzee has been leading TV AlHijrah since July 1, 2019, bringing with him extensive experience in media and broadcasting, particularly in content strategy, television channel management and broadcasting innovation.

Prior to his appointment as CEO, he had been involved in the broadcasting industry since 2004, gaining experience in television content and channel management.

Under his leadership, TV AlHijrah has continued to strengthen its position as an Islamic broadcaster through the expansion of television and digital content, wider audience reach across multiple platforms and initiatives aimed at strengthening its connection with the community.

Among the key developments are the expansion of digital content accessibility through its streaming platform, AlHijrah Plus, the strengthening of news and current affairs programming, and community initiatives such as Hijrah Prihatin.

The broadcaster has also received several corporate and industry recognitions, reflecting its continued organisational development and achievements.

In 2026, TV AlHijrah received the Malaysia Best Employer Brand Awards 2026, while Namanzee was also honoured with the Outstanding Performance Award 2026 in the Islamic Broadcasting & Media Excellence category.

Commenting on his latest achievement, Namanzee said the recognition was not merely a personal milestone but also a reflection of the collective commitment and dedication of the entire TV AlHijrah workforce.

“I regard this recognition as an appreciation of the entire TV AlHijrah team. Every achievement we celebrate today is the result of our collective commitment and efforts to ensure that the organisation continues to grow, remain relevant and adapt to changes in the industry,” he said.

He noted that changing media consumption patterns, technological advancements and growing competition among platforms require media organisations to remain adaptable and continuously embrace innovation.

“Today’s challenge is not simply about producing good content, but ensuring that it remains relevant, trusted and accessible to audiences through the right platforms. At the same time, the identity and values that form the foundation of TV AlHijrah must be preserved,” he said.

Namanzee added that technological developments and changing public information-consumption habits had made it increasingly important for broadcasters to respond swiftly to audience needs while strengthening internal capabilities.

He said TV AlHijrah would continue to prioritise content development, digital expansion, talent development and organisational capabilities to ensure the broadcaster remains competitive and relevant in an evolving media landscape.

The Global Excellence & Leadership Awards is an international recognition platform that honours individuals and organisations across various sectors for their achievements, leadership, professional excellence and meaningful contributions to their respective industries.

Namanzee said the latest recognition would serve as further motivation for TV AlHijrah to improve its broadcasting standards, strengthen relationships with audiences and expand its contributions to the industry and society.

“This recognition inspires us to keep moving forward. TV AlHijrah must continue to be a media organisation with a strong identity, one that is trusted and capable of delivering meaningful value to its audiences,” he said.
