Jakarta – METI and MASKEEI together with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE), the main stakeholders of the clean energy sector, officially launched the 12th IndoEBTKE ConEx 2026. Entering its 12th implementation, this forum will take place on September 2–4, 2026 at Jiexpo Kemayoran.

Carrying the theme “Indonesia Renewable Energy Acceleration: Executing Strategic Projects, Unlocking Investment, Building Resilience,” the 12th IndoEBTKE ConEx 2026 affirmed Indonesia’s commitment to accelerating the execution of EBTKE projects, opening access to green investment, and building the resilience of the national energy system through regional collaboration and technological innovation.

The 12th IndoEBTKE ConEx 2026 is designed to bring together government leaders, industry players, investors, academics, and development partners from various countries, to accelerate the development of an innovative, inclusive, and sustainable clean energy ecosystem.

Norman Ginting, Chairman of METI, added that this forum is a crucial opportunity to accelerate the implementation of renewable energy (EBTKE) projects in the field. “Many renewable energy projects belonging to METI members are now moving towards construction and operation. We are using IndoEBTKE ConEx 2026 as a meeting place for developers, technology providers, and policymakers to accelerate the realization of these projects,” he said.

Andhika Prastawa, Chairman of MASKEEI, emphasized that energy conservation and efficiency are crucial pillars in strengthening the resilience of the national energy system while simultaneously supporting the acceleration of Indonesia’s energy transition. “We are encouraging the strengthening of the implementation of energy conservation and efficiency through various innovative initiatives, including the development of the Energy Efficiency as a Service scheme, to raise awareness, expand the adoption of energy-saving technologies, and optimize energy utilization in the industrial and commercial sectors,” he said.

Dr. Elvi Nasution, Secretary General of METI and Chair of the Organizing Committee, emphasized the importance of opening access to green investment for renewable energy (EBTKE) projects in Indonesia. “Through the 12th IndoEBTKE ConEx 2026, we are connecting project developers with national and international financial institutions to ensure a stronger and more targeted flow of green investment into Indonesia,” she explained.

This year’s event also features a conference room with a total of 6 plenary sessions and 12 more spacious breakout sessions, and an exhibition showcasing the latest technologies in solar, wind, bioenergy, geothermal, energy storage (batteries), and energy efficiency solutions from domestic and international exhibitors. In addition to the conference and exhibition sessions, the forum will also feature a networking hub session that brings project developers together directly with potential investors and financing partners, as a concrete manifestation of the spirit of “execution” which is a major theme this year.

Government policy support, increasing interest in green investment, and strengthening regional cooperation make IndoEBTKE ConEx a crucial momentum to accelerate project execution and implementation of sustainable energy solutions in Indonesia and the ASEAN region.
