KUALA LUMPUR, 6 August 2026 – Yayasan Tuanku Fauziah (YTF) is pleased to announce the launch of Women in Technology Awards 2026, with the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) as its Technical Partner, a national initiative to recognize outstanding Malaysian women whose leadership, innovation and technological achievements are helping shape the nation’s future.

Nominations are open from 10 August to 5 September 2026. Both self-nominations and third-party nominations from industry, academia, government, startups, research institutions and other technology-driven sectors are welcomed.

The awards feature two categories:

• Senior Women in Technology Award, comprising RM 30,000 and a certificate– honours professional women with at least 20 years of experience and contributed significantly to technology-related fields.

• Junior Women in Technology Award , comprising RM 15,000 and a certificate –honours emerging researcher, academic, technologist and innovator aged 35 and below, or with less than 10 years of professional

The award seek to celebrate exceptional Malaysian women whose contributions have significantly advanced science, technology and innovation (STI), while inspiring greater participation of women in STEM and encouraging future generations of innovators and leaders.

The initiative brings together Yayasan Tuanku Fauziah’s longstanding commitment to empowering women and MIGHT’s expertise in technology, foresight, innovation and ecosystem development.

YTF has championed programmes that advance education, leadership development and capacity building for women since 2004.

Eligible nominations will be evaluated based on professional achievements, technological expertise, innovation innovation, leadership, national and societal impact, contributions towards advancing women in technology, community engagement, and overall contribution to Malaysia’s innovation ecosystem.

Award recipients will be honoured at the YTF Gala Dinner on 17 October 2026.

This award underscores YTF’s commitment to a more inclusive, innovative, and globally competitive participation by women in science, technology, and innovation, while celebrating role models whose achievements will inspire the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders in Malaysia.

Yayasan Tuanku Fauziah was established on 19 April 2004 with the motto Women in Search of Excellence (WiSE) by DYMM Tuanku Tengku Fauziah binti Almarhum Tengku Abdul Rashid then the Raja Permaisuri Agong in Kuala Lumpur. DYMM Tuanku Tengku Fauziah binti Almarhum Tengku Abdul Rashid, Consort of the Raja Perlis, Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, was Malaysia’s Raja Permaisuri Agong from the period of 2001-2006.

YTF supports women via several programmes including provision of scholarships for women, internship for women with industry as well as conferences and webinars on relevant areas and fields beneficial for women to increase women’s awareness of and participation in leadership as well as regarding new national and international developments.

These programmes included two women selected as YTF Fellows and they  secured internship with Siemens C General Electric (GE). Additionally, YTF had partnered with Josai International University in Japan and had offered scholarships to 5 outstanding postgraduates to undertake a 1-year programme on Women in Leadership at the University for the period 2015-2019.

For year 2026, Yayasan Tuanku Fauziah is pleased to announce that it is organizing a Women in Technology Awards 2026, with the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High-Technology (MIGHT) as YTF’s Technical Partner.
