KUALA LUMPUR – – Human Resources Minister Ramanan Ramakrishnan has extended his congratulations to Biruntha Mooruthi on her appointment as Group Chief Executive Officer of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp), effective today.

He described the appointment as a significant step in strengthening Malaysia’s talent development agenda, ensuring it remains dynamic, focused, and aligned with evolving industry needs.

“With over 20 years of leadership experience spanning government, academia and industry, I am confident that Puan Biruntha will lead TalentCorp towards greater achievements and high-impact outcomes,” he said.

Ramanan noted that her strong track record in advancing national initiatives, driving innovation, and bridging the gap between research and market demands would be invaluable in today’s increasingly challenging economic landscape.

He also highlighted her contributions in mentoring thousands of entrepreneurs and accelerating technology commercialisation, describing them as clear evidence of her commitment to building a robust national talent and innovation ecosystem.

“I am confident that under her leadership, TalentCorp will continue to play a strategic role as a key policy think tank in strengthening workforce readiness, expanding quality employment opportunities, and ensuring that national talent policies deliver meaningful impact to sustainable economic growth,” he added.

Ramanan also conveyed his appreciation to Edward Ling for his service and contributions during his tenure leading TalentCorp.
