KOTA KINABALU – Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) Commander Datuk Victor Sanjos has been appointed the new Sabah Police Commissioner, succeeding Datuk Jauteh Dikun, who is due for mandatory retirement.
The appointment is part of a list of senior officer transfers issued by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Bukit Aman headquarters today.

Under the reshuffle, Victor, who previously held the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), will move from his position as ESSCOM Commander under the Home Ministry to become Sabah Police Commissioner, while assuming the rank of Acting Commissioner of Police (CP).

He is scheduled to report for duty after November 11.

The appointment will see Victor take over leadership of the Sabah Police Contingent from Jauteh, who is set to conclude his service after more than 32 years with the police force.

Throughout his career, Jauteh held several key positions within PDRM before being entrusted with leading the Sabah Police Contingent as its commissioner.

In a related development, Sabah Internal Security and Public Order Department chief Datuk Abdul Fuad Abdul Malek has been appointed the new ESSCOM Commander, replacing Victor.

Abdul Fuad previously served as head of the Sabah Internal Security and Public Order Department before being included in the latest senior police officers’ reshuffle.

The appointments form part of PDRM’s leadership restructuring to ensure continuity in administration and the effective management of security and public order, particularly in Sabah.
