KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27, 2026 – Kelantan is seeking to attract greater international investment and expand economic opportunities through closer cooperation with Terengganu, Kedah and Perlis under the SG4 initiative.
Kelantan Menteri Besar Mohd Nassuruddin Haji Daud said in his Facebook posting collaboration among the four states could strengthen their respective economic strengths, create new development opportunities and support long-term economic growth.

He said this after attending the SG4 Business & Economic Forum 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), which brought together leaders from the four states, investors and industry players to explore new investment and economic development prospects.

The participation of diplomats, foreign delegations and representatives of international companies also provided an opportunity to showcase Kelantan’s economic potential, alongside that of the other SG4 states, to the international community.

Mohd Nassuruddin said the engagement could help generate greater investor interest in the region and highlight the range of opportunities available across the four states.

He added that the Kelantan state government would continue its efforts to attract more investments, create employment opportunities and ensure that the benefits of economic development reach the people.

These efforts are aligned with the state’s aspiration to achieve Kelantan Sejahtera 2033, which aims to advance the state’s development and improve public well-being.

The SG4 initiative brings together Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah and Perlis to strengthen inter-state cooperation and explore opportunities for investment, industrial development and regional economic growth.
