Jakarta, – The Indonesian Halal Week & EduNation Festival 2026 held another press conference on Wednesday (August 26) at Dream Dates Artisan Bakery & Restaurant in Senopati, Jakarta. This event is part of preparations for the exhibition on August 28–30, 2026, at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC).
Indonesian Halal Week & EduNation Festival 2026 featured collaborations from various parties from the halal industry, education, payment technology, textiles, communities, and lifestyle. The second press conference featured event partners such as Glamlocal, Halal Kulture, and Deatextile, as well as iFortepay as the Official Payment Partner and Bank Syariah Indonesia as the Supported Partner.
Vibiadhi Swasti Pradana, President Director of PT Debindomulti Adhiswasti, the organizer, stated that the Indonesian Halal Week was initiated as a platform to build an integrated halal industry ecosystem. He explained that the halal industry encompasses not only trade but also halal living, lifestyle, education, fashion, and technology.
“Through PHI, we want to build an integrated ecosystem that can serve as a one-stop solution. The halal industry isn’t just about trade, but also education, lifestyle, skills, technology, and various other sectors,” said Vibiadhi.
In line with the development of this ecosystem, the Chairman of KOPIN, Ustadz Ali Saman Hasan, emphasized the importance of education in shaping a young generation that has global competitiveness as well as a strong foundation of values and morals.
“When someone is globally competitive, they must also be aware of halal values. Education encompasses not only knowledge but also morals,” said Ali Saman Hasan.
He believes halal awareness needs to be introduced as part of everyday life. This concept applies not only to food and beverages but can also be applied to the education ecosystem through various needs, such as uniforms and books.
From a technological perspective, iForte Chief Executive Officer Valerino Wijaya explained that digitalization can simplify transactions for businesses. One solution offered is the QRIS Soundbox, which provides audio notifications when a QRIS payment is successful.
“When a payment is made, a notification sound will appear. This helps the seller know that the transaction has been completed. The payer can also receive confirmation and feel confident that the payment was successful,” explained Valerino.
This solution is expected to help streamline transactions and reduce queues. This is considered relevant considering the number of micro-enterprises in Indonesia, which, according to data presented at the event, reached over 30.2 million.
Meanwhile, Agung Mulyawan Paramata, Director of Mumtaz Creative and Halal Kulture, sees significant potential in the halal industry through community and lifestyle approaches. He believes the halal concept is now not only relevant to the Muslim community but is also growing in the global market.
“Industry-wise, the Muslim segment and the halal industry are very large. Increasingly, halal-related issues are becoming more relevant than just Muslims,” Agung said.
Through Halal Kulture, various communities will be involved in Indonesian Halal Week, including automotive and Muslim biker communities. Additionally, the Sunday Morning Hype program will feature discussions on cryptocurrency, Islamic economics, business, and Islamic finance.
In the textile sector, Deatextile CEO Adwil Yusuf stated that the halal industry also encompasses textile products. Deatextile offers textile products developed from the upstream to the final product.
“Halal products are certainly not simple. They must be halal certified. At this event, we will be bringing a different kind of halal product: textiles,” said Adwil.
Deatextile also develops collaborations with a number of educational institutions, including the University of Indonesia in the manufacture of uniforms, as well as other universities for the needs of jackets, alma maters, togas, and other textile products.
Indonesian Halal Week & EduNation Festival 2026 will be a platform that brings together business actors, educational institutions, communities, and the public to obtain information and open up opportunities for collaboration.
Indonesian Halal Week in Conjunction with EduNation Festival 2026 will be held on August 28–30, 2026 at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), Jakarta, with a ticket price of IDR 20,000.
