JOHOR BAHRU, June 14 — The Johor chapter of the Reset Movement is prepared to transform its entire state machinery into Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan) following the announcement by Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin of his decision to join the newly established party.

Johor Reset Movement coordinator Datuk Zulkifli Bujang said all 26 divisions of the movement in the state were ready to be absorbed into Wawasan as part of efforts to strengthen the political platform for the Reset agenda.

He described the formation of Parti Wawasan Negara as an important step in ensuring that the struggle initiated through Gerakan Reset Malaysia could continue in a more organised and effective manner through a legitimate political vehicle.

“Gerakan Reset Malaysia has successfully brought together Malaysians from various backgrounds who share the same aspiration of building a better, fairer and more prosperous nation,” he said in a statement on Saturday.

According to Zulkifli, meaningful reform efforts require not only a movement but also a political platform capable of translating ideas and aspirations into policies and actions that benefit the people.

He said Parti Wawasan Negara should be viewed as a continuation of the Reset Movement rather than merely another political party, as both shared the same objective of reforming systems that required renewal and building a new national consensus that could unite Malaysians from all walks of life.

Zulkifli expressed confidence that the nationwide transformation of Reset Movement members into Parti Wawasan Negara would further strengthen the struggle championed by Hamzah.

“With the strength of our machinery in all 26 divisions throughout Johor, we are ready to continue this struggle under the leadership of Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin to build a more harmonious, progressive and prosperous Malaysia,” he said.

He added that the movement would continue to prioritise the voice and interests of the people while expanding its role through a more structured political platform.

“The struggle has never stopped. It is merely entering a new phase with a clearer and more organised vehicle,” he said.
