Putrajaya, 22 January — Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) Sim Chee Keong has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Viviantie Sarjuni, Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship Institute (INSKEN), following her receipt of the Public Social Innovator of the Year 2026 Award for Social Entrepreneurship from the Schwab Foundation, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF).
The award was presented in Switzerland on 21 January 2026, in conjunction with the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, marking a historic milestone as Puan Viviantie became the first Malaysian to receive this prestigious international recognition.
In a statement, Steven Sim said the achievement not only honours Puan Viviantie’s leadership and dedication but also brings pride to the nation by showcasing Malaysia’s capabilities on the global stage of social innovation and entrepreneurship.
While in Davos, Viviantie participated in several high-level workshops and international engagement sessions alongside global leaders and social innovators.
The knowledge, experience and best practices gained are expected to be channelled back into Malaysia to further strengthen the national entrepreneurship ecosystem, particularly initiatives under the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) and the strategic programmes implemented by INSKEN.
The minister said the recognition reflects Puan Viviantie’s strong commitment to empowering entrepreneurs, advancing social enterprises and promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
He expressed confidence that the award would continue to add value to Malaysia’s entrepreneurship landscape, especially in supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
“Congratulations and well done on this outstanding achievement that brings honour to Malaysia,” he said.
